Savvy Caregiver® Evidence-Based Online Training for Group Leaders

The Savvy Caregiver program is a training program for caregivers. It is based on the notion that family members who become caregivers assume a caregiving role for which they are unprepared and untrained. While they are central to the system of care provided for people living with dementing illnesses, they can often be invisible. 

This course is for you – the group leader of the Savvy Caregiver program. In this course, you will learn to help caregivers acquire and strengthen the knowledge, skills, and mastery required to take on the caregiver role by:

• Understanding the theoretical basis of the Savvy Caregiver program
• Improving your key leading skills such as coaching, group management and flexible fidelity
• Navigating and understanding the content of the six caregiver training sessions including:
  • How the sessions build on each other
  • How to prepare for each session
  • How to manage time for each of the six caregiver sessions
